The Trade has long documented the views of the great and the good in our industry.
But, as we enter one of the busiest periods of regulatory change ever,
it seemed appropriate to recognise the individuals shaping the trading
world of the future.
The Hot 100 was established to recognise the most important,
influential and informed individuals who are helping companies and
clients to navigate this period of market transformation.
Priority has been given to those with a demonstrable track record of
innovating for the greater good and to those who are likely to do so in the
Whether it’s Mifid II, market abuse or the numerous other changes
affecting the market, The Trade believes that the Hot 100 showcases the
very best trading minds in the business.
They have been divided into categories to show the wide array
of talent: buy-side, consultants, sell-side, trading venues, financial
technology, policymakers, post-trade and agency brokers.
There are 40 “Rising Stars” which form part of the list, which were
announced at the end of last year. These
individuals are featured together in one
section. You will note a couple of updates
to the write-ups to reflect job changes
since the original presentation.
Finally, we have also invited some
of our sponsors – without whom this
project would not have been possible – to
offer some perspectives on the trends they
are witnessing in the market to give a
flavour of what is yet to pass.
Congratulations to everyone who
made the list.
